Accountancy runs in Sam’s family. His father, grandfather and great-grandfather were all accountants, making his own path into the profession a natural one. Sam joined DFK Gray Perry in 2005 as a graduate accountant, initially working primarily in taxation and audit, and has since developed a strong focus on business advisory.
As a Partner, Sam works with clients across a range of areas including cash flow and budget modelling, digital bookkeeping and data systems, succession planning and taxation. While numbers and analysis are an important part of his role, Sam’s real passion is helping people achieve their business goals.
Sam takes the time to understand his clients and the challenges they face, combining his analytical skills and taxation knowledge with a practical and approachable style. He enjoys helping clients better understand their financial position and make informed decisions about their businesses.
Outside the office, Sam enjoys spending time with his family, cycling, following Australian Rules football and travelling, as well as enjoying good food and wine.
