Jim retired as a partner of DFK Gray Perry in June 2024. He was a chartered accountant and business advisor for over 40 years and specialised in working hand-in-hand with clients to deliver excellent advice on taxation, tax structuring, financial performance, business improvement, retirement and succession planning.
Jim has always had a strong service ethic, and loves to see small businesses grow. He believes strongly that small business is the key driver of the South Australian economy and has great admiration for people who risk their financial security to ‘have a go’. Throughout his career, he has felt privileged to work with many great small and family businesses to help them achieve their goals.
Jim has played an integral role in shaping the culture of the firm, creating an environment where team members could excel, while maintaining a sense of humour and camaraderie. Jim always made time to develop the next generation of accountants, mentoring young professionals and contributing to their growth within the industry. His guidance and expertise helped shape many successful careers.
Now that he is retired, Jim enjoys spending time with his family and indulging in the great things South Australia produces, including good food, wine, and Aussie Rules football.
